E’ aperto il call for papers per la quarta edizione del seminario Rome Modern Italy (2019-2020). Benche’ il seminario sia aperto al pubblico, i relatori devono essere ricercatori presso una delle Accademie straniere a Roma. La scadenza per la presentazione delle proposte é fissata al 29 Settembre 2019. Esse dovranno essere corredate da un abstract compreso tra 3.000 e 5.000 caratteri (spazi inclusi) e da un breve curriculum (max mezza pagina), in italiano o in inglese. L’abstract dovrà riguardare una ricerca in corso (sono da escludere presentazioni di libri o di lavori già svolti) ed includere una problematica chiara ed un riferimento alle fonti e alla metodologia impiegate. Il tema proposto dovrà riguardare la storia dell'Italia contemporanea (diaciannovesimo e ventesimo secolo), pur proponendo, eventualmente, approcci ed aspetti pluridisciplinari. Si prega inoltre d’indicare nella proposta il periodo di ricerca previsto a Roma. Il Comitato scientifico renderà nota la propria scelta entro l' 11 ottobre 2019. Gli appuntamenti del seminario si terranno una volta al mese presso vari istituti e accademie della capitale tra Ottobre 2019 e Giugno 2020. The Rome Modern Italy Seminar is currently accepting proposals for its fourth edition (2019-2020). Although the seminar is open to the general public, presenters should be affiliated with one of the foreign Academies in Rome. Proposals should include an abstract (between 2,000 and 5,000 characters with spaces) and a brief curriculum (maximum half a page), written in Italian or in English. The proposed papers should concern an ongoing research (book presentations or papers related to former or completed research will not be accepted) and include a clear argument as well as a reference to the sources and the methodology used. Papers should deal with the history of modern Italy (19th and 20th centuries) and may also include multidisciplinary approaches and methodologies. The seminar will be held once a month at various foreign academies and institutes in Rome between October 2019 and June 2020. Please indicate in your abstract the proposed research period in Rome. Proposals should be sent by September 29, 2019 to segreteria.rmis@gmail.com. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the proposals by the Scientific Committee will be sent to the corresponding author by October 11, 2019.
