Fédération Internationale des Instituts d'Études Mediévales

FIDEM (The International Federation of Institutes for Medieval Studies) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987. Its main objectives are to support and foster medieval studies in all areas of knowledge through the organization of meetings, the publication of monographs, and the promotion of a diploma aimed at young researchers. FIDEM associates, whether institutional or individual, are based throughout the world.

Textes et Études du Moyen Âge (TEMA)

A collection created by FIDEM in 1995 which includes the published proceedings of international congresses and symposia on Medieval Studies, as well as interdisciplinary studies focusing on the intellectual history of the Medieval period. This collection, distributed by Brepols Publishing, comprised over 70 volumes as of 2014.

Diplôme Européen d’Études Médiévales

The European diploma in Medieval Studies was created in 1991 by the FIDEM. The Diploma is maintained by a group of universities within the ERASMUS programme and is open to students of all nationalities.
